Which is better for creators, Linktree or Lnk.Bio?
Lnk.Bio and Linktree both launched in 2016 and then priced themselves in opposite directions. Lnk.Bio sells lifetime plans ($9.99 once for Mini, $24.99 once for Unique) against Linktree Pro at $15 every month, or $180 a year. On raw cost this is not a close comparison, and Unique now covers a shop, a newsletter, branding removal, custom fonts and wallpapers, so the old "you'll outgrow it" objection is weaker than it was. Linktree still wins on the marketing stack (Google Analytics, the Facebook Conversion API, UTM parameters, SEO settings and AI insights on Pro), on published support response times, and on the breadth of its link apps and store integrations. Pay monthly for Linktree if you need attribution and a support commitment; pay Lnk.Bio once if you want a fast, capable link page and would rather never think about the bill again.

Lnk.Bio
Two 2016 tools that took opposite bets on pricing
Linktree is Melbourne-based, is used by tens of millions of creators, and runs a conventional subscription ladder: Free, Starter at $8, Pro at $15 and Premium at $35 a month, with roughly 20-25% off for annual billing. Lnk.Bio is Singapore-based, bootstrapped, and advertises "the same prices since launch" in 2016.
Lnk.Bio's ladder is unusual enough to need spelling out. Free covers unlimited links, 577 templates, 147 embed services, 19 integrations, basic statistics, a QR code and three pages. Mini is $0.99 a month, or $9.99 as a one-time lifetime payment, a fact Lnk.Bio repeats throughout its FAQs but leaves off the pricing card. It adds link scheduling, password-protected links, advanced analytics, external pixels, Instagram and TikTok sync and 38 layouts. Unique is $24.99 once and adds the shop, newsletter and contact form, branding removal, custom colours, 44,813 fonts, wallpapers and video wallpapers, and ten pages. Ultra is $89.99 a year and adds verification, a booking calendar, AI translations and the ability to connect a domain you already own.
Lnk.Bio's own FAQ attacks Linktree by name over the November 2025 price rise that took Pro from $9 to $15. We checked it against our Linktree records, and the increase is real. It is a fair shot.
The cost arithmetic is not close, in either direction you run it
Linktree Pro is $180 a year at the monthly rate, or $144 billed annually. Lnk.Bio Unique is $24.99, once. Unique pays for itself against monthly Linktree Pro in under two months and then costs nothing again.
Even Lnk.Bio's most expensive plan undercuts Linktree's mid-tier. Ultra is $89.99 a year against Linktree Pro's $144 billed annually, and Ultra connects a custom domain, which Linktree does not sell on any plan at any price. Lnk.Bio also lists a custom-domain add-on at $39.99 a year covering .com, .bio, .co and most other TLDs.
There is a caveat on the vendor's own numbers. Lnk.Bio's site contradicts itself in several places: the FAQ quotes $29.99 for the custom-domain add-on where two other surfaces say $39.99, and quotes 24 layouts and 28,261 fonts where the current figures are 38 and 44,813. Where surfaces disagree we have gone with the majority and the more recently updated page, but check any specific number before you buy on the strength of it.
On selling, Linktree's fee is worse and clearer
Lnk.Bio's shop arrives on Unique and is broader than its reputation: digital products, physical products with variants, stock and shipping rates, services, and discount coupons, with payouts through Stripe Connect or PayPal Partner. Lnk.Bio publishes no platform transaction fee at all. Standard payment-processor fees apply on top.
That absence is worth reading carefully. "No published fee" is not the same as a published 0%, and it is the one number a seller most needs to plan around. Linktree's is published to the point of bluntness: 12% on Free, 9% on Starter and Pro, 0% on Premium.
The gap it implies is large. A creator selling $500 a month of digital products on Linktree Pro pays $15 plus $45 in fees, which is $60 a month or $720 a year. Moving to Premium to escape the fee costs $35 a month, $420 a year, or $360 billed annually. Against $24.99 once for Lnk.Bio Unique plus whatever Stripe or PayPal charges, that is not a comparison Linktree wins on cost. It wins on the fact that you can forecast it.
What each one has that the other genuinely lacks
Linktree's advantage is the marketing and attribution layer. Pro brings Google Analytics, the Facebook Conversion API, global UTM parameters, SEO settings, email platform sync, audience, location, device and referrer insights and AI-driven analytics. It publishes tiered support response times (48 hours on Free down to 4 hours on Premium) where Lnk.Bio publishes no response-time commitment at all. It carries roughly two dozen link apps plus Shopify, Spring and Bonfire store integrations, Instagram auto-replies, and dynamic links with smart routing on Premium.
Lnk.Bio is much less thin than the "dead simple" label suggests, and every headline count grew between our March and August reviews: embed services from 34 to 147, integrations from 14 to 19, templates from 442 to 577, fonts from 28,179 to 44,813, newsletter sync destinations from 31 to 50. Its integration list includes Zapier, Make, n8n, Pabbly, IFTTT, Power Automate, Shopify, WordPress and webhooks, with public APIs on the free plan. It runs in 32 languages and ships on five surfaces: iOS, Android, the Shopify App Store, Chrome and Firefox.
Its analytics have quietly become serious too: demographics by country, language, source and device, two years of history, Excel export, custom date ranges, IP exclusion, and pixel rows naming Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Microsoft Clarity, Plausible and HubSpot alongside the Meta Conversion API and Google Ads conversion tracking. The honest caveat is that Lnk.Bio's comparison table renders its availability markers as images, so which tier several of those sit on is not something we could read off the page.
Neither tool does everything. Linktree has no custom domain, no custom CSS and no native email sending. Lnk.Bio has no custom CSS either, no native email campaigns (it syncs to 50 providers rather than sending), and it fragments verification, booking and translations into paid add-ons unless you take Ultra.
Who should choose what
Choose Linktree if
- You need attribution: Google Analytics, UTM parameters and the Facebook Conversion API all sit on Pro
- You want a published support commitment; Lnk.Bio offers no response-time target
- You sell through Shopify, Spring or Bonfire, or want roughly two dozen link apps to choose from
- You want a published seller fee you can forecast, even though 12% on Free is the highest in the category
- Brand recognition matters to you and you want the page your audience already knows how to use
Choose Lnk.Bio if
- You would rather pay once: $9.99 for Mini or $24.99 for Unique, against $180 a year for Linktree Pro
- You want a custom domain: Ultra at $89.99 a year connects one, and Linktree never will
- You want a shop selling digital goods, physical goods and services with no published platform fee
- You want depth in embeds and automation: 147 embed services, 19 integrations, Zapier, Make, n8n and webhooks
- You prefer backing an independent, bootstrapped tool that has not raised prices since 2016
Frequently asked questions
Is Lnk.Bio's lifetime plan really lifetime?
Yes, with one boundary. Lnk.Bio has two one-time options: Mini for $9.99 and Unique for $24.99, both bought outright with no recurring charge. What is not included in either is connecting a custom domain you already own. That requires the Ultra plan at $89.99 a year, or the separate custom-domain add-on listed at $39.99 a year, and both of those recur. The $9.99 Mini price appears only in Lnk.Bio's FAQs, not on the pricing card, where Mini is shown as $0.99 a month.
How much does Lnk.Bio cost?
Four tiers. Free is $0 and includes unlimited links, 577 templates, 147 embed services, 19 integrations, basic statistics and three pages. Mini is $0.99 a month or $9.99 as a one-time lifetime payment, adding link scheduling, password-protected links, advanced analytics, external pixels and five pages. Unique is $24.99 one-time and adds a shop, newsletter, contact form, branding removal, 44,813 fonts, video wallpapers and ten pages. Ultra is $89.99 a year and adds verification, a custom domain connection, a booking calendar and AI translations.
Which is cheaper, Lnk.Bio or Linktree?
Lnk.Bio, by a wide margin. Its Unique plan is a single $24.99 payment against Linktree Pro at $15 a month, which is $180 a year or $144 billed annually. Even Lnk.Bio's most expensive tier, Ultra at $89.99 a year, undercuts Linktree Pro's annual price while adding a custom domain Linktree does not sell. Both tools have free plans, so the comparison only starts mattering once you want branding removed or a shop.
Does Lnk.Bio offer a custom domain when Linktree does not?
Yes. Linktree does not support custom domains on any plan, free or paid. Its help centre states that the linktr.ee URL cannot be replaced. Lnk.Bio's Ultra plan at $89.99 a year lets you connect a domain you already own, and Lnk.Bio separately lists a custom-domain add-on at $39.99 a year covering .com, .bio, .co and most TLDs. The Unique plan at $24.99 includes a free .bio domain for a year, which is not the same thing as connecting your own.
Can you sell products on Lnk.Bio?
Yes, from the Unique plan at $24.99 one-time. The shop handles digital products, physical products with variants, stock and shipping rates, and services, plus discount coupons, with payouts through Stripe Connect or PayPal Partner. Lnk.Bio publishes no platform transaction fee, so only standard payment-processor charges are documented, though an unpublished fee is not the same as a stated 0%. Linktree, by contrast, publishes its cut: 12% on Free, 9% on Starter and Pro, 0% on Premium at $35 a month.
Is Lnk.Bio still actively maintained?
Yes. Its feature comparison page carries a May 2026 update stamp, and every headline count grew between our March and August 2026 reviews: embed services from 34 to 147, integrations from 14 to 19, templates from 442 to 577, fonts from 28,179 to 44,813 and newsletter sync destinations from 31 to 50. Bluesky joined Instagram and TikTok in its social scheduler, and it ships on five surfaces: iOS, Android, the Shopify App Store, Chrome and Firefox. It has been running since 2016, the same year Linktree launched.
