Komi vs Linktree

A feature-by-feature comparison based on our hands-on evaluation. 25 features differ between these tools.

Data verified

Which is better for creators, Komi or Linktree?

Komi is built for professional creators and the agencies that manage them; Linktree is built for everyone. Komi's free Starter plan includes a CRM with unlimited fan contacts, unlimited team members and access to brand deals, which is unusual at any price. But it cannot sell digital products at all, so the free plan is a shopfront and a contact database rather than a way to earn. Linktree sells from its free plan, has a far deeper feature set and a real marketing stack, and costs less to enter at $8/mo against Komi's $20.

Komi's pricing is simpler than it's usually reported to be

Komi has exactly two plans and both are public: Starter at $0 and Pro at $20/mo, or $16/mo billed annually. There are no custom-quote or enterprise tiers, despite frequent claims to the contrary (including, until recently, on this site).

Unlimited team members and unlimited profiles are included on both plans. For an agency trialling a tool across a roster of talent, that makes Komi unusually cheap to evaluate.

The custom domain on Pro is not self-serve: Komi's own FAQ directs you to email support to have it set up.

The decisive difference is what each free plan lets you earn

Komi Starter gives you a mini-site, unlimited content and affiliate links, performance analytics, tipping, data capture and a CRM with unlimited contacts. But digital products are a Pro feature, so you cannot sell them on the free plan.

Linktree's free plan sells digital products and courses immediately, though it takes a 12% cut. Komi Pro takes 0% on digital product sales, so a creator selling at volume reaches a crossover point where Komi's $20/mo is cheaper than Linktree's fee on Starter or Pro, both of which charge 9%.

The arithmetic, counting both subscription and fees: Linktree Pro costs $15/mo plus 9% of sales, Komi Pro costs a flat $20/mo. Komi becomes the cheaper total once you sell about $56 of digital products a month, a low bar. Above that, the question stops being price and becomes whether Linktree's analytics and integration stack is worth the difference to you.

Where Linktree is simply the deeper product

Linktree carries a roughly 98-row feature matrix against Komi's much narrower set. The gap is widest in analytics and marketing: Google Analytics, Facebook Conversion API, global UTM parameters, SEO settings, audience and location insights and AI-driven analytics all sit on Linktree Pro at $15/mo. Komi offers a Meta Pixel and little else.

Linktree's design suite on Pro (advanced themes, fonts and button styles, wallpaper images and video, hero and video profile images, header layouts) is deeper than Komi's, though Komi's default templates are cleaner out of the box and clearly aimed at a more polished, professional look.

Where Komi wins: the CRM and brand-deal marketplace have no Linktree equivalent, and if fielding brand enquiries is a core part of your work that is a genuine reason to pick it.

Who should choose what

Choose Linktree if

  • You want to sell from a free plan rather than upgrade first
  • You need real analytics and attribution: Google Analytics, UTMs, conversion tracking
  • You want the broadest integration and link-app ecosystem
  • You want the cheapest paid entry point at $8/mo
  • You want a custom domain. Neither tool is ideal here, but note Linktree offers none at all while Komi includes one on Pro

Choose Komi if

  • You're an agency or manage talent: unlimited team members and profiles on the free plan make it cheap to trial across a roster
  • Brand deals and fan relationships are core to your work, and a built-in CRM matters more than analytics depth
  • You sell digital products at volume and want 0% fees for $20/mo
  • You want a polished, professional-looking page with minimal configuration
  • You need a custom domain and are willing to email support to set it up

Frequently asked questions

Does Komi have a free plan?

Yes. Komi's Starter plan is free and includes a custom mini-site, unlimited content and affiliate links, access to brand deals, unlimited fan contacts in a CRM, performance analytics, data capture, tipping and unlimited team members. It does not include digital product sales, a custom domain, branding removal or email campaigns, all of which require Pro at $20/mo.

How much does Komi cost?

Komi has two plans: Starter at $0 and Pro at $20 per month, or $16 per month billed annually, a 20% saving. There are no custom-quote or enterprise tiers. Pro adds 0% fees on digital product sales, unlimited email campaigns, Meta Pixel, branding removal, a custom domain and priority support.

Is Komi or Linktree better for selling digital products?

It depends on volume. Komi Pro charges 0% on digital product sales for $20/mo, but the free Starter plan cannot sell them at all. Linktree sells from its free plan at a 12% fee, dropping to 9% on Starter ($8/mo) and Pro ($15/mo) and 0% on Premium ($35/mo). Counting subscription plus fees, Komi Pro at a flat $20/mo becomes cheaper than Linktree Pro ($15/mo plus 9%) once monthly digital product sales exceed about $56.

Which is better for agencies managing multiple creators?

Komi. It includes unlimited team members and unlimited profiles on both its free and paid plans, plus a CRM and brand-deal marketplace built for managed talent. Linktree supports multiple admins from Pro ($15/mo) and offers a custom-priced Agency plan with team seats and SSO, but its per-profile model is less suited to managing a roster.
